Center Hill Neighborhood Association awards scholarships to students who reside within the Center Hill community and are graduating from the only public high school within our boundaries, Frederick Douglass High School. The award is intended to assist with the cost of educational materials and books.
The required essay is a critical component of the application. It is your opportunity to share your story, perspective, and aspirations with the committee. In a 350 worded essay, please respond to the following prompt:
“How has being a Center Hill resident shaped your worldview, and what impact do you anticipate it having on your future?”
Applications will be evaluated using the following criteria:
- Service to the community
- Essay quality, completeness, and overall presentation
- Academic merit
All completed applications must be submitted to the Scholarship Committee no later than Friday, April 17, 2026, via email to centerhillna@gmail.com.
